We recently bought a house 100 yr old farm house in Bunn, NC and needs lots if renovations so living less than a block or two away from Main St and always forgetting something at a big chain store, this hardware store is the best. A little pricey on some items but quite comparable to a huge, corporate place. I'd rather spend a few extra bucks to support small, local business. It has everything and the can order you the kitchen sink!! Seems to be the unofficial meeting place for the local farmers and residents of Bunn. Friendly, helpful staff, free parking and wheel chair accessible..
Great place i have gotten pine straw from here several times and ive never had any problems. I had a sprained ankle and they loaded it all nicely.
This year I purchased 60 bales of pine straw. 3 times 20 bales each. My husband picked them up on his truck, he is handicapped and unable to help load. They looked like they were pitched in the truck back. By the time I unloaded them the strings were off center and came of lots of the bales meaning I had to take them off the truck by the arm full. The 3rd time I asked my husband to please ask them to stack it maybe this would help keep the strings in place. The response I got back(my husband said from the owner himself) was they would put it on the tailgate and it I wanted it stacked I could come do it myself. Maybe this is the way you keep customers, I don't know, but this is not my way. I won't be back to purchase anything from the Do It Center in Bunn. Also this is the first time ever I got red bugs from putting out pine straw. Maybe they should change the name to Do It YOURSELF Center.
A little pricey on some things but they have a very helpful staff.
Nice Friendly Helpful Staff, more than happy to answer any questions. I don't mind paying a little extra to help keep the local economy going. Bunn Do It Center beats those big stores for customer service by a mile.!!
